The Oshawa Historical Society is delighted to have author and historian Paul Arculus speak on his publication Durant’s Right-Hand Man, looking at the life and times of Dr. Edwin Campbell, the founder of the Chevrolet Motor Company and Billy Durant’s assistant in the creation of General Motors and General Motors of Canada. Please join us for an evening delving into history of the early years of automobiles and the personalities who helped make it happen.
The Oshawa Historical Society’s January Speaker Series is taking place Tuesday, January 15th at 7PM. The meetings are held at the Oshawa Public Library, McLaughlin Branch Auditorium, located at 65 Bagot Street, Oshawa. Admission to the Oshawa Historical Society Speaker Series is $3 or FREE for members of the Oshawa Historical Society.
I enjoyed the presentation as it was clearly well researched and entertaining. The presenter knew the relationships and locations of events as if he was either a member of the family or was there in person. Very colourful and tactful. The subtle humour was refreshing as well.
