Everyone can swing into summer with new Museum programs!
Fun for the whole family this summer at the Oshawa Community Museum! Beginning in June with our Summer Lecture & Tour Series, anyone over 18 can register to learn about all facets of Oshawa’s history. This program runs each Wednesday at 6 p.m. from June 5 – August 21 and costs $5 per person (Drop-in; $3.50 for OHS Members).
Children’s drop in crafts will run on July, 3, 31 and August 28th. Kids will make Thomas the Tank Engine costumes, egg carton trains and crazy quilt squares. The cost is $5 per child and runs from 12 – 4 p.m. No registration required, just stop by the Museum!
Finally we are offering two day camp programs to complement the Museums summer exhibits; Tales From the Tracks: The Story of Oshawa’s Street Railway and Common Threads: Stories From our Quilt Collection. Tales From the Track will run on Wednesday July 17th and Common Threads/Victorian Handicrafts will run on August 14th. Both are suitable for children ages 5 – 12, run from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., cost $20 per child and pre-registration is required for both.
