Thank you to all who attended our successful 2021 Virtual Speaker Series season, and thank you to our wonderful speakers! We were excited to host a variety of lectures on topics such as Ron Romano and the Billboard Monuments of New England, Fred Robbins, President, York Pioneers who chatted about the history of the York Pioneers & Scadding Cabin, Zoé Delguste-Cincotta, Curator, Toronto’s First Post Office
who took us on a visit to Toronto’s First Post Office in 1834, and Dora Nipp, CEO, Multicultural History Society of Ontario who shared the stories of Growing Up Chinese: Canadians without belonging or citizenship.
Looking locally, we hosted talks about Oshawa’s Black History, a look at Displaced Persons in Oshawa, the Farewell Cemetery, and Nicole Adams, OPL, talked about Guiding in Oshawa.
The first half of 2022 is planned and available for review on our Speaker Series Page. See you in the new year!
