Join the Oshawa Historical Society and retired nurse, Nancy McLeod, who will share with us portions of her VictorianOHS Speaker Series Meeting: Victorian Medicine Show with Nancy McLeod Medical collection.  She has collected over 200 pieces of 19th century medical memorabilia.  Playing the role of Medical practitioner of the Victorian Era,   she will discuss the darker side of the bygone medical practices during the Victorian Medicine Show that will be held at the McLaughlin Branch of the Oshawa Public Libraries, in the auditorium on Tuesday February 21 @ 7pm.  The show will feature demonstrations of 19th century medical tools and highlight the agonizing methods used to treat toothaches, headaches, amputations and infections.
Admission to the Oshawa Historical Society Speaker Series Meeting is $3, tickets are NOT required.  For more information please contact the Oshawa Community Museum at 905.436.7624 ext 103.
