Annual Lamplight Tour 2012

It’s that time of the year again!  The Oshawa Historical Society and the Oshawa Community Museum invite you to join us for our Annual Holiday Lamplight Tour, an evening of Lamplight and traditional Victorian Festivities.

Visit the homes of the Henry, Robinson and Guy families. Henry House will be decorated with traditional Victorian trimmings, letters to Santa will be written in the Robinson House General Store, you can explore Oshawa’s long standing relationship with the harbour in the Sea Shanty Exhibit, and be sure to stop in to Guy House for some last minute shopping!  The houses will be lit with oil lamps with entertainment throughout, featuring Ken Ramsden of Freshwater Trade playing traditional wassailing carols.

The event will take place throughout all three of the museum’s heritages homes located at 1450 Simcoe Street South, in Lakeview Park. The festivities begin at 6 p.m. and costs $3.00 for adults, $2.00 for seniors/students and $1.00 for children.

For more information, please phone Jill or Lisa at 905-436-7624 ext. 106 or email the Programming Department at programming@oshawamuseum.org.

Special thanks to our Gold Level ‘Victorian’ sponsors of this cherished community event: Conpute, Janet Dowson: Urban Landmark Realty, Ontario Power Generation, Oshawa Port Authorty, and Suchan McQuaid Financial Planning Partners.
