Speaker Series Review – Paul Arculus and Dr. Edwin Campbell

The year 2013 has had a great start for the Oshawa Historical Society.  Attendance was strong at last night’s Speaker Series as many came out to learn about early automotive history and the personalities who shaped the times.

Local Author Paul Arculus was our guest speaker, who delighted the crowd, retelling stories about Dr. Edwin Campbell (a Port Perry native!), his relationship with William Durant, and how they were two of the leading personalities in the early 20th century, building the company we know of General Motors.

Thank you to everyone who attended and showed your support for the Oshawa Historical Society.  Here’s to a great 2013.
