The Oshawa Community Museum & Archives is looking to capture the unique beauty and architecture of Guy House.
In anticipation of the release of If This House Could Talk: The Story of Guy House, we are holding a photo contest, looking for the best original photographs of Guy House. The photos could capture the distinct architecture of the house’s exterior, the spaces inside the home, or any other aesthetic aspect of Guy House.
The photos will be reviewed and judged by staff of the Oshawa Community Museum & Archives, and the winning submission will be included in If This House Could Talk. The winner will receive a copy of the final publication, a $50 honorarium, a one year complimentary individual membership to the Oshawa Historical Society, and mention in Historical Happenings, the Oshawa Historical Society’s quarterly newsletter.
In addition, top photographs will be on display at the Oshawa Community Museum in late 2014, along with photographs from the Robinson House Photo Contest and Henry House Photo Contest. We will notify submitters when their photograph is on display.
Full rules can be found here: Guy House Photo Contest
Deadline for submission is June 27, 2014. Entries are to be submitted to:
