For the fifth year, the Oshawa Historical Society is inviting you to a night celebrating research and local heritage at our Annual Research Symposium. Patty Davis, of the Costume People will discuss the reproduction of the World War I Nursing Sister’s uniform, and guests can view the costume and its intricate details.
In addition, Oshawa Community Museum staff will share the story of Guy House, the third house that comprises the Museum complex. With a rich history and many different residents, the history of Guy House was thoroughly researched and we are delighted to share this story. The latest publication, If This House Could Talk: The Story of Guy House will be available for purchase during the evening.
The Oshawa Historical Society’s November Speaker Series is taking place November 18 at 7PM. The meetings are held at the Oshawa Public Library, McLaughlin Branch Auditorium, located at 65 Bagot Street, Oshawa. Admission to the Oshawa Historical Society Speaker Series is $3 or FREE for members of the Oshawa Historical Society.
