Oshawa has been a City in Ontario for 91 years, and a thriving community for many years longer. Many words can be used to describe Oshawa: industrial, evolving, historical, cultural, a place for education, amazing, home. For the Oshawa Community Museum’s feature 2014 exhibition, Reflections of Oshawa, we turned to members of our community to share their stories and experiences in the ‘City that Motovates,’ and for the March Speaker Series, curator Melissa Cole shared a few of those stories, including the Ocean Wave, the 1937 GM Strike, the Rolling Stones, and fires.
