In conjunction with our latest exhibition, Mourning After: The Victorian Celebration of Death, the Oshawa Community Museum is holding a photography contest, looking for the best original photographs from cemeteries in our City and beyond.
The photos will be reviewed and judged by staff of the Oshawa Community Museum & Archives, and the top 15 will be on display at the Museum during the month of June 2015. The top photographer will receive a $50 honorarium, a one year complimentary individual membership to the Oshawa Historical Society, mention in Historical Happenings, the Oshawa Historical Society’s quarterly newsletter, and a complimentary copy of Until Day Dawns: Stories from Union Cemetery by Melissa Cole and Laura Suchan.
Deadline for submission is May 22, 2015. Entries are to be submitted to:
