Since the turn of the 18th century, the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation have made their home in southern Ontario. On March 21, the Oshawa Historical Society is pleased to welcome Dave Mowat, Community Consultation Specialist for the Mississaugas Of Scugog Island First Nation, and he will discuss the history of the Mississaugas Of Scugog Island First Nation, and how the Nation became settled at various locations, such as Rice Lake, Scugog, and Bay of Quinte.
The Oshawa Historical Society’s March Speaker Series is taking place Tuesday, March 21 at 7PM. The Speaker Series will be held at Trent University Durham, Room 121, located at 55 Thornton Road South, Oshawa. Admission to the Oshawa Historical Society Speaker Series is $3 or FREE for members of the Oshawa Historical Society. Admission will also be free for Trent University Durham students.
