April Speaker Series: Mike Starr of Oshawa

Active in politics for several decades, Michael Starr was well known in Oshawa and beyond.  The first Canadian cabinet minister of Ukrainian descent, Starr is remembered for his work furthering the cause of ethnic groups and minorities, and his name is memorialized on a prominent building in Downtown Oshawa. Join author and historian Myron Momryk as he delves into the life of this community figure.

The Oshawa Historical Society’s April Speaker Series is taking place Tuesday, April 16 at 7PM. The Speaker Series will be held at the Arts Resource Centre, located at 45 Queen Street, Oshawa. Admission to the Oshawa Historical Society Speaker Series is $3 or FREE for members of the Oshawa Historical Society.
