Speaker Series Review: Historical Reenacting and Heritage Oshawa

What a wonderful start to 2016!

Thank you to our guests who attended our January Speaker Series, where we had two presentations.  We first had Margaret Wilkinson, a member of Heritage Oshawa, give a presentation about Heritage Oshawa, Oshawa’s Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee, and the built heritage around our city.  Afterwards, Sarah Coates, a historical reenactor, gave us a glimpse into this hobby!  She spoke of her experiences as a reenactor of War of 1812 battles, and she brought along costumes that she made.
