In 1941, a new company began operation in eastern Pickering Township that would change the lives of thousands women’s lives and would lead to the creation of a new town to be called Ajax.  On February 17, join the Oshawa Historical Society in welcoming Ajax Librarian Elaine Lievaart as she recounts the history of the Bomb Girls of Defense Industries Limited.

The Oshawa Historical Society’s February Speaker Series is taking place Tuesday February 17 at 7PM. The Speaker Series is held at the Oshawa Public Library, Northview Branch in the Nonquon Room, located at 250 Beatrice Street East, Oshawa. Admission to the Oshawa Historical Society Speaker Series is $3 or FREE for members of the Oshawa Historical Society.
